What is the process of getting veneers?

During your first visit, Dr. Chirla discusses your options, asks any questions you might have, and designs your perfect smile. Dr. Chirla uses a shade guide to help you pick out a color for your veneers that best matches your skin tone.

When you come in for your second visit, Dr. Chirla removes a thin layer of enamel from your teeth to make room for the veneers. He then takes an impression of your teeth and sends it off to a lab, where your veneers are designed to fit comfortably in your mouth and blend in with the rest of your teeth.

Once your veneers are ready (usually one to two weeks), you come back to the office so Dr. Chirla can place them. He cleans your teeth, polishes the veneers, and then places them one-by-one on your teeth, trimming or buffing anything along the way so they seamlessly blend in with your natural teeth. Once they’re on, he bonds each one with special dental cement, leaving you with a beautiful, long-lasting smile.
